The shear size of the 2.6 million acre park covers much of northeastern New York. This diverse landscape offers hotels and motels near urban centers and absolute wilderness. There are over 2000 miles of trails in the Adirondacks.
The bulk of the park falls within 7 counties: Clinton County, Essex County, Franklin County, Hamilton County Herkimer County, Lewis County and Warren County.
