Miami Beach is a great area with offerings from fantasy rooms, deco design themes and historic tours. In Miami, with a diverse clientele, themed hotel rooms are within reach.
Themed hotel rooms aren’t the normal four walls, a queen bed and cable. In Miami you’ve got lots of options for themed hotel rooms. Check in to one of these hotels and you can be in for a night of glamour, Valentine’s Day romance or a relaxing sauna theme. Although there is an endless list of types of themes, we want to highlight three types of themed hotel rooms. Miami offers them all. There are historic, designer and fantasy themed rooms. One of the most eclectic places offering themed hotel rooms is Miami’s Pelican Hotel. Right across from the well-known beaches of Miami – including all of the great music, dining and people watching, is the Pelican Hotel. Offering 30 themed hotel rooms, Miami’s Pelican has art deco furnishings and 2 Penthouses that are in a very debonair James Bond theme. The Pelican offers unique themed hotel rooms. Miami can’t claim any other spot quite like it. The hotel uses artifacts and props collected to put together a feel that doesn’t look like the hodgepodge of an old “country inn”. The hotel includes “props” from every decade dating back to the 20’s.
Calling itself a Toy Hotel, the Southbeach hot-spot features themed rooms designed by decorator Magnus Ehrland. With a John Water’s quality and imagination, these rooms each have a name as unusual as their tastefully designed interiors. You’ll have choices from themes like Psychedelic(ate) Girl and the Love, Peace and Leafforest room. Always a favorite, the Best Whorehouse is a hit with guests visiting Miami. You might even get a sense of the Pelican’s stature when you understand who owns the hotel – the world famous Diesel Jeans Company. The Pelican Hotel: Themed Hotel
Rooms Miami The Clay Hotel is a great example of a historic themed hotel in Miami. Simple and featuring fewer stars than other themed hotels, the Clay was built in 1925. This distinctive “pink lady” of a hotel is just ahead of the familiar South Beach deco period. The hotel rooms were designed as part of an overall plan to attract artists and bohemian types to the shores of Miami. The Clay’s history is around every turn. Notorious crime boss Al Capone took up residence at one point as a base of a gambling operation. Its also said that the Rumba craze of the 1930’s was started here at the Clay by Desi Arnaz (Pre Lucille Ball). The Clay Hotel: Themed Hotel Rooms
Miami The third theme that’s most prominent in Miami is one simple word, “Design”. With its row of South Beach deco sophistication, top end modern designed spots highlight the themed hotel rooms of Miami. When it comes to a designed deco theme, the Loews in Miami Beach is often at the top of most lists. The rooms are designed in a classic deco style that has been updated with a modern-day comfort.
Loews Miami Beach is one of the few hotels that will leave you with a dilemma. Enjoy an enchanting room…or go out to enjoy the sights of Miami Beach. It will be a challenging decision. Loews Miami Beach - Deco Themed
